- The Bahrain International Circuit was constructed in time to host the first ever F1 race in the Middle East in 2004. Michael Schumacher won the inaugural race. The Bahrain Grand Prix remains on the F1 calendar today.
- It is another circuit that has been ever-present since the WEC began in 2012.
- Bahrain is an island nation in the Persian Gulf, covering just 295 sq mi with a population of 1.3 million in 2013.
- The country was home to the first oil well in the Gulf region.

Bahrain is actually a circuit I've done a few times now. It's a pretty good track really, it's got a mixture of long straights and some interesting bends, and it seems to produce good racing.
